It was reported today that the construction on IKEA's first Florida store (in Sunrise) is 3/4 complete.  However, they have hit a small snag with the permit process.  Executives say the process took longer than expected which will push the opening from late Summer to Fall 2007.

When I first heard about the delay, my first thought was a flashback of trying to put together my first piece of IKEA furniture when I lived up in North New Jersey.  Anyone who's tried, knows that you usually only get pictures in the instructions and sometimes things don't fit like they should.  But it's a great place to shop, so lets hope there is no other delays.

The building is located at State Road 84 and NW 136th Ave off of I595.
