I'm trying to cover the 'original' restaurants in the South Florida - Ft. Lauderdale area first, but wanted to mention the 'Grand Lux Cafe' in the upscale Colonnade Outlets at Sawgrass.  This recent 'offshoot' of the Cheesecake Factory is kind of just starting out.  There are only about 10 across the country (and South Florida has 3 of them).  It's a free standing building which is a nice addition to Sawgrass Mills.

We had gone right at the Christmas peak and of course there was a wait.  The inside had high ceilings and looked very trendy.  The menu is almost of an upscale diner and our burgers were HUGE! (and quite good)  The menu seemed similar to the Cheesecake Factory but not as many items (a refreshing change, for those of you that hate the 25 page CFF menu).  I would say if you're shopping at Sawgrass Mills Outlet Mall, check Grand Lux out.
