The popular ride was closed on Wednesday and isn't planned on reopening until mid-September.  During the closing, 'Imagineers' will be working on adding new ghosts and enhancing the special effects.  This is the first overhaul of the ride, but officials say they hope to update it without losing the overall traditional features or story.

This is the 3rd ride in the Magic Kingdom to get an update.  Pirates of the Caribbean and It's a Small World recently got face lifts too.
