We stayed at TI  (Treasure Island).  This was our second time staying at the hotel.  It's a really nice place.  If you book early enough, you can get a great deal.  We paid $900 for the whole week and that is with a strip view.  The thing you don't want to do with a Vegas hotel is 'prepay' for the whole trip.  Those are usually not refundable or you can't make changes.  Most require one night deposit, which you can cancel and rebook if you find a less expensive rate.  They will refund the deposit. 

TI has rebranded to appeal to more of the cool scene rather than the pirate family theme of years ago.  The pirate theme is all gone and there are a few popular nightclubs inside.  The property is small enough to make for easy walking.  There is also a 'free' tram that goes to the Mirage next door and the Fashion Mall is right across the skywalk as well.  This location is perfect and will be right next to the new Palazzo Hotel and Casino (due to open early 2008) and the Wynn Encore hotel due to open in 2009.
