Ft. Lauderdale's Pier 66 Hotel (a Hyatt) Plans Expansion?
The owners of the Hyatt Pier 66 Hotel in Ft. Lauderdale (off of the 17th Street Causeway) have big plans for the site. They have submitted plans to City Hall that include:
- 52 new hotel rooms
- 42 residential condos or apartments
- 18,300 sq ft of office space
- 5,000 sq ft of retail space
- 235 new parking spaces
The property is well known in the area as it has a 'revolving' lounge at the top (currently used as a banquet hall). Should be interesting if this passes and actually happens.
