Broward County Casino's Expand Hours of Operation.
The change in the state slot machine laws for Broward County passed by Gov. Charlie Christ means changes to the 3 open casinos. The casinos are hoping that the extended hours and ATM changes will help draw the crowds. Here are some of the changes:
The Isle at Pompano Park-
New Hours: Sun - Thurs 9 AM - 3 AM
Fri - Sat 9 AM - 5 AM
Cannot find any ATM information on their website.
Mardi Gras Gaming -
New Hours: 7 days a week 10:30 AM - 4:30 AM
ATM now on property!
Gulfstream Racing and Casino -
New Hours: 7 days a week 10:30 AM - 2:30 AM
Cannot find any ATM information on their website.
We just got back from Vegas last Saturday morning and were still in the mood to gamble, so we went to The Isle. Well, what a wake up call. While this is the nicest casino out of the 3 now open...the slots had high minimum bets. The lowest denomination is 2 cents, but with 9+ lines. It's also hard to find a quarter machine with a 3 coin max. Most were 5 +! They also have waaay too many dollar machines.
The buffet was good, but not really worth the $19 price on the weekends. They need to offer something to get people packed in 7 days. It was busy on Saturday nite, but not like it should be. They should think about building a movie theater...like the luxury Muvico in Boca Raton.
If you want to make your dollar stretch more...hit the Mardi Gras Gaming Casino a bit farther south. They have actual penny machines and we have always done pretty good there.
