Hallandale casino goers can now drink later! (well pending city commission approval) The 2 new casinos (Las Vegas style slots at the race tracks) can now sell alcohol until 6 AM. Gulfstream Racing and Casino and Mardi Gras Gaming and Dog Track have longer hours now (Mardi Gras Gaming stays open around the clock on weekends) so they of course wanted to be able to sell liquor later.

The city commission needs to approve this motion by the city planning and zoning board...but I don't think that will be a problem. I don't know when they will be able to start selling liquor though. Like if Mardi Gras Gaming is open 24 hours Friday thru Sunday...do they have to stop Saturday morning at 6 AM...and then start at 7 or 8 AM? If they build a hotel...maybe they will offer free drinks like Vegas! Nah...I don't think that will happen. But free soda and water would be nice.

Ocean's 11 Bar and Grill on N. Federal Hwy also is included with this change.
