2007 Hurricane Season Forecast is Lowered

NOAA has released the 'revised' 2007 Hurricane Season Forecast.  While they are still calling for a more 'active' than usual season, they have lowered the number of storms.  Basically, they don't know and since we haven't had that many storms this year...they decided to adjust the numbers.  Duh!

Here is the new forecast:

13 - 16 named storms, of which 6 - 9 will become hurricanes and of those, 3 - 5 will become 'intense' (winds of 110 mph or greater).

The season is getting into 'peak' now with it ending November 30.  There are currently no threats out there and they do not expect any development in the next 2 days...another blog I visit often calls for no real development over the next week.

Again, these are all 'guesses'.  They really don't know until one forms.
