FL Gov. Charlie Christ Confident of Agreement With Seminoles by Sept. 11.

Gov. Charlie Christ said on Thursday that he will likely seek the FL Legislative Approval of the deal he is working on with the Seminole Tribe.  The deal is said to allow the tribes exclusive rights to table games (blackjack, roulette, etc.) as well as the Vegas style slots.  Of course this will be allowed, but taxed.  This would bring in quite a large amount of tax revenue for the state.

Christ is not sure if Legislative approval is needed, but 5 other states had to go through that process to make the agreement 'legal'.

I'll keep you posted on the progress.

I know there are lots of posts for the gambling agreement, but this is big news for the state.  Florida's first full casinos could be right around the corner.
