Our Visit to the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood Florida-Posting 2, the Hotel.
The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Hollywood Florida is quite the resort. I haven't stayed at the property yet, but I will run through some of the features you might find useful. It's a very large property with a lot of areas to explore, so bring your walking shoes. I also took some pictures that will give you an idea of what to expect. I can't say enough times that I am always impressed when I go to this property.
Quick Hotel/Resort Facts:
The Resort sits on 86 acres.
The Hotel is 12 stories tall.
The Hotel is 4 diamond rated.
The Casino is about 135,000 square feet. (open 24 hours).
The pool area is about 4 acres, with a water slide and waterfalls.
The pool area also contains a 'small shallow pool'. More of a soak your feet pool.
The pool area has poolside cabanas to rent.
The pool area has a whirlpool.
The pool area contains a volleyball court area.
The pool area contains a 7,000 square foot space for poolside functions.
The hotel contains a European spa and fitness center.
There is one restaurant and bar poolside, and 3 more within the hotel. (Hard Rock Café, Blue Plate (Casual Dining) and a Council Oak (Upscale steak house).
The Paradise Entertainment Complex is connected to the hotel.
There is a stage in the lobby with live bands. More of a lounge act.
There is a large bar in the center of the casino.
500 Guest Rooms, including 63 suites with panoramic views.
50,000 square feet of meeting space.
Like I've said a few times...this is a nice property. The pool is really done VERY well. Many of the hotels around Ft. Lauderdale should take note of the layout. Not everyone wants to swim in the ocean their whole trip.
Lets get to the pictures now. I will post pictures of the pool under my next entry (Seminole Hard Rock #3) so be sure to check back later today. The pictures might make it look like it wasn't that busy...but we were there early for a Saturday (11:30 AM) and I tried to time my pictures to not catch anyone in frame.
Lets start off with the 2 pictures I didn't take. This is a photo from the Hotel's website. The top photo is a long aerial view of the hotel and the one below shows the inside of one of the guest rooms:

(Now all of these pictures were taken by me.)
Here is the entrance to the European Spa in the hotel. It's located right by the Blue Plate Restaurant:

Here is a picture of the meeting room area. Perfect for business or pleasure:

Now we have a picture of the Blue Plate Casual Restaurant:

Next to the Blue Plate is Constant Grind. It's the 'Starbuck's type' coffee stand:

Here is the side view of the Hard Rock Café by the front desk. You can dine on a patio that is overlooking the lobby. I didn't get inside...you've seen one HRC, you've seen them all:
