Our Visit to the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood Florida-Posting 3, the Pool.
If you make it to the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, you need to check out the pool area. Even if you are not a guest. At 4 acres there is a lot to explore.
The pool itself is very unique for the area. It doesn't really look like any I know of in the Ft. Lauderdale. It sits in the middle of the fenced in area and there is an 'island' in the center of the pool. On the island is the pool bar and restaurant on one side...and the small water slide on the other. There are waterfalls that splash down in the pool on a few sides of the rocky part of the island. All they need is a swim up bar and you'd swear you are in the Caribbean.
There is a small shallow pool if you want to just dip your feet and a whirlpool/spa for those wanting to relax in the heated water. If you prefer volleyball, they have a full court all set up. I believe they even have concerts out by the pool on occasion.
You can enjoy the restaurant at the pool even if you are not a guest, but think you have to show a room key to get a towel and use the pool. I'm sure they have a day pass of some kind as well or you can even rent a cabana. They all have a TV, stereo and tables and chairs.
My next post will cover some of the restaurants in the Paradise Entertainment Complex attached to the hotel.
Here is a side shot when you first walk out of the hotel to the pool. I took it to show the tropical setting:

This is a picture of the pool bar/restaurant. It's right in the middle of the pool's 'island':

And finally, we have the cabanas:
