Aquatica Waterpark in Orlando and Jungala- Busch Gardens Tampa...slated for March opening in Orlando.
Seaworld Orlando (a Busch Entertainment park) is releasing more information about it's waterpark. They are planning a month-long Grand Opening starting March 1! (Orlando is about a 3 to 3 1/2 hour drive from Ft. Lauderdale)
The park is 59-acres and is the first full-sized theme park to open in Orlando since 2000's Discovery Cove (also Seaworld). The park will hold about 16,000 visitors making it the highest-capacity park in the state. Along with 36 water slides, visitors will be able to choose between wave pools, a 80,000 sq ft beach and a lazy river with a rapids section. The landscape is tropical and lush and there will also be areas to interact with animals.
Single day tickets are not available yet but are expected to cost $38.95 for adults and $32.95 for children. Of course they will have combination packages as well.
**Seaworld's 'sister' property in Tampa...Busch Gardens...will also be ready to open a new attraction this spring. Called the 'Jungala area' will combine jungle habitats for Bengal tigers, orangutans and other animals with jungle trails alongside and above those exhibit areas as well as waterways, towering trees, three new attractions and two new restaurants. This is a 4-acre addition to the park. Busch Gardens is becoming quite the theme park. They have some GREAT roller coasters too. It's a refreshing alternative to Disney.

It appears to go under water and allows you to see marine life as you race through.

There will be some sort of 'zip line' ride.
