D. Wade's Sports Grill, Ft. Lauderdale is shaping up.

I'm hearing that early February is when the new D. Wade's Sports Grill in Ft. Lauderdale (Dwayne Wade) will be opening. I also found an old 'Craig's List' posting that announced open interviews for all positions back in December, which means they should be close to filling all of the spots. I still don't have any information on the menu..but since Bucky's Grill is still in the mix...I'm thinking BBQ might be the focus.
When these pictures were shot last weekend...there were a few trucks outside...appearing to be doing some cosmetic work inside. You can also see the D. Wade's Sports Grill bus that is parked in the front of the building. (It looks like the old Bucky's bus...with a fresh paint job.) I'm sure this place will get a lot of press on the Grand Opening. Just a gut feeling.
The restaurant is located at 1451 North Federal Highway (US1), Ft. Lauderdale, FL 33304. Between Oakland Park Blvd and Sunrise Blvd.

Nice site, Mark. Saw you on Chowhound and thought I'd post. I've been waiting to see what happens with D Wade's too. Guess he decided to shorten his first name, since Dwyane is so hard to spell. Nice to see they ditched the banner sign for a real one as well.

I drove by earlier today and there is still no sign that they are open for business. I want some more information if anyone has it.

I'm from Texas but I will stop by the new restaurant as I will be traveling to Florida for Memorial weekend. I'm sure the restaurant will be another successful accomplishment Mr. Wade can add to his resume. Good luck and keep up the good work!!!

Dwades in Boca opened Feb. 18th. Great food and great sevice. Its on the corner of Glades and N dixie in boca raton.

I order regularly, at the Boca Raton location. The quality of the food is excellent, for the modest price range.
