Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino begins to install Class III (Vegas Syle) slot machines.

This is happening very fast.  It was announced today that the Seminoles are currently replacing about 1,000 older 'type II' slots (the bingo types) with class III (Vegas style).  The new machines will be opened on Monday January 28, 2008...which is only 3 days before the state Supreme Court will hear arguments on whether they are even legal to operate.

Gov. Crist signed the gaming compact and US officials have approved it as well.  The compact is now in the National Registry making it official.  The only problem lingering is the argument state legislators made that claims Gov. Crist had no authority to make such an agreement on his own (with the Seminoles).

So far there has been no mention of the table games that are included in the Gaming Compact.

I'll try to get out to the casino in the next few weeks to report back.
