Vegas Style slots = Vegas Style payouts?
Well it depends. Lets take a look at Broward County and only look at the 'Class III' slots.
Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino-
While it's great to see them finally getting the Class III slots, don't expect the same payouts as you see in Las Vegas. While the payouts can be better than their older Class II (Bingo based) slots, the Seminoles do not disclose their payout rates. Another downer is since the Seminole games are not regulated by the state of Florida...they can set the payout to whatever they wish. This doesn't mean they don't have the same payouts as a Vegas casino...we just don't know.
Broward Pari-Mutuals-
These Class III slots are regulated by the state and must post their payout % in each casino. The state requires the payout rate be NO LESS than 85%. Casinos can adjust their machines to any rate as long as it is 85% or above. As you might see...you might have different 'luck' at each of the 3 casinos. I know I have. It's reported that Mardi Gras Casino in Hallandale has one of the better payout rates (around 90%). With Gulfstream having more of the average 85%. I know that I find those reports to be spot on. I usually do quite well at Mardi Gras. The Isle isn't bad either (but has higher denomination betting) and Gulfstream has the tightest slots (I never walk out ahead).
Actual Vegas slots are set with a payout of 85% to 90%...which is right around where Florida's fall. However...you need to realize that the competition in Vegas is so high...that most casinos' payback is well into the 90's. I usually end up doing very well in Vegas. I guess the competition helps the gamer.
