Mardi Gras Gaming gets 'progressive'.
Mardi Gras Gaming is one of the first Broward County Slot 'Casinos' to install the 'linked' progressive jackpot slot machines. The state gave the 3 'racinos' in Broward the green light to install the machines in December. With these linked machines, the jackpot will grow much faster and will usually get quite large. It's usually the Grand Daddy jackpot and is usually what keeps people playing.
So far, the state is only allowing groups of slot machines to be linked in the same casino, but they soon could approve a progressive link that spans across many casinos. The catch on the progressive payout is that you usually have to play the maximum bet. This can get quite expensive.
Soon all 3 casinos in Broward will have the progressive slots up and running. The Seminoles already have a type of linked jackpot system and I'm sure the new Class III machines they are installing will soon have them as well.
