I grew up in the Detroit area...which means cars were a HUGE part of my life.  Everyone seemed to work for one of the auto companies in one way or another.  There used to be so many used car dealers, but it seems like over the years...they have started to disappear.  Well of course there is always a market for used cars and it seems that you can now find so many Used Autos for Sale on line.  You can even find them on the 'auction' sites.  With the way that the word recession keeps popping up, I predict that the used car market will grow in the next year.  It's also not the industry of years past either.  With so many people 'leasing' cars, it leaves a huge inventory that are only a few years old.  With that in mind, I'm probably going to start looking seriously at the used car market.

Don't forget that you can also search these used car websites for inventory in a southern state (like Florida).  Keep in mind that a car owned in Florida has not seen the harsh winters and salt from the roads.  It can also give you an excuse to come down for a vacation.  Fly down, make your purchase and then drive it home.
