The Isle at Pompano Casino feels a bit like Vegas.
The Isle Casino at Pompano Park was actually the 3rd 'racino' to open in Broward. I keep forgetting what a nice property this is. When you walk into the newly built casino, you can actually picture it fitting in nicely in Las Vegas. It's not nearly as large as those mega-Vegas casinos...but it is very 'up-scale' in appearance. They even have a fresh 'scent' pumping through the place which is a Vegas casino staple.

I've been to the Isle many times and this is actually the first time I was able to get some pictures taken. I'll split the post into 2 sections. This one will give a general overview of the property and will concentrate more on the 'casino' itself. The next one will give some information on the restaurants (very nice ones I might add).
The building is 2 floors. On the first you have the Isle Buffet Restaurant, Myron's Deli and the casino. There is also a really cool 'water' feature that separates the restaurants and the casino.
(The cool water feature changes colors. Water drips and flows off the glass into a pool.)
The escalator takes you to the second floor which you will find the Poker Pit, 2 more restaurants (more up-scale) some betting windows for the horses and a comfortable Simulcast Lounge.

The casino on the first floor is quite large with about 1,100 slot machines. There is a center bar which has huge video screens hanging in quite an interesting way. They show everything from pictures to video. There is also music playing...a mixture of pop tunes (from easy listening to more hip current music). The machines are set up very nicely and there seems to be plenty of room all around. There lowest denomination machines are 2 cents. You can actually have your money go quite far with those. The high roller section has it's own bar and bartender and I saw machines from just walking by that were $25 for one credit.

The Isle players club sign up is located inside of the casino by the 'main' entrance. Be sure you get a card as the Buffet offers a discount. You also want to be sure you get points for your slot play.
They also just opened a 'gift shop' and that is also located in the casino itself. I peeked in, but it all seemed to be women's clothes and stuff I didn't find of much interest. Oh, another cool feature is the LCD TV's in the bathrooms behind the mirrors. It only shows promotions for the property that you read when you wash your hands...but it looks cool.
(They look white here, but these are actually LCD TVs in the restrooms...cool.)
According to reports, The Isle is making the most money of the 3 racinos in Broward. When you step inside, you can see why. They put some money into this place and it shows. It has a relaxing feel and you also feel comfortable. You almost want to ask them where is the hotel check-in desk since it does feel more like a resort as well.
The Isle is located in Pompano Beach at 1800 SW 3rd Street.
