The Isle at Pompano Casino Dining Options
I'll now spend some time giving you a tour of the 4 dining venues at The Isle at Pompano. As I stated in my previous post, this property is quite impressive. They are trying to appear a bit more 'up scale' and it's also apparent in their restaurants. You also don't have to be 21 to dine there. The restaurants are kind of separate from the casino. To get to the slots, you have to walk through a separate opening with an employee that checks ID's.
The 2 casual restaurants are Myron's Deli and The Isle Buffet. I'm sure that by the names, you can guess what each offers. I personally have been to the buffet about 5 times, while I haven't made it to Myron's yet. I have heard very good things about Myron's and since it's one of the more 'casual' spots, it tends to be the busiest at peak times. They do offer a buzzer that you can take into the casino and play until your table is ready. (A lot better than waiting on a bench.)
Myron's offers sandwiches, potato pancakes, egg creams and your traditional New York Deli type offerings. You can even see the cooks shaving the meat through a window by the restaurant entrance. I like open kitchens...less 'fooling around' by the staff makes for safer food handling. The restaurant is clean and still looks new. Myron's is open for lunch and dinner 7 days.

Next to Myron's is The Isle Buffet. They've tried to model the layout after the revamped Vegas buffets. They have the place split into 'stations' and have smaller portions set out. This way, it allows the food to 'turn over' quicker and should be fresher for the customer. They also do the cooking right at each station. This way there is nobody bringing the hot food all through the dining room to get to the buffet stations. You have a 'Salad and Soup' station, a 'Grill' station (steaks, chicken), a carving station (roast pork, prime rib, turkey), an Italian station, a Pizza station and an 'All American' type station. Oh, and there is a whole dessert 'island' in the middle. For dinner they have a few 'upgraded' items on the main part of the buffet and also in the dessert section. I believe that for Sunday Brunch they have hand dipped ice cream and they will mix in toppings and blend it on a cold marble slab.
Lunch is only $11.99 Monday-Saturday (11 AM - 3:30 PM)
Dinner is $17.99 Sunday-Thursday (4:30 PM - 9:30 PM)
Dinner is $23.99 Friday & Saturday (4:30 PM - 10 PM) - includes shrimp and crab legs.
Brunch is $16.99 Sunday

The next 2 restaurants are located on the 2nd floor and have some dining areas that overlook the casino. They are both more 'up scale' and the price point is higher than the Buffet and Myron's. Brogozzo's is an Italian Restaurant and has a huge wine selection. They have a clear wine cellar type shelving unit that makes up one of the exterior walls. It's a nice touch. They also have some counter dining where Chef Luke Palladino will interact with you and even give you some free tastes. Bragozzo is only open for dinner and is closed on Monday & Tuesday.

The other restaurant is called Farradday's and is the casino's steakhouse. What would a casino be without a steakhouse? The decor of both restaurants looks very impressive. They resemble a trendy South Beach, New York or Vegas hot spot. I don't have a first hand account for the food quality or price yet. So, if there is anyone out there that has tried them...let us know. Farradday's is only open for dinner and is closed on Wednesday & Thursday.

Now that I have actually been to all 3 Broward racinos, I can say that The Isle is the one that is best poised to compete with the Seminoles. The dining options and overall casino design sets it apart.
