Another round of fighting for the proposed new Marlins stadium.

The Orange Bowl is almost ready for it's final demolition....but that doesn't mean that the new Marlins stadium will be started soon.  The current argument that is threatening the project is between Miami (the city) and Miami-Dade (county) police officers.  They both want the rights to 'police' the area once the stadium is built.  Both police forces want in since it will bring some added cash resulting from 'off-duty' pay.

The issue was brought up last month when the county and city approved the stadium deal, but there was no resolution.  I'm sure this argument will go on for quite a while as well.  Along with the police disagreement, there are still questions about the actual funding of the project.  More definite answers should come to light as we approach summer.
