I'm sure all you car buffs already know that the Ft. Lauderdale International Auto Show kicks off today at the Greater Ft. Lauderdale Convention Center off 17th Street. The show is open to the public and runs today through Sunday. For those of you that don't get that excited about cars...this is a great show. It's a perfect opportunity to check out new cars without being pressured by salesman. You can also see the cool concept cars..which seems to be a visitor favorite.
Hours and dates:
3/20 - open 1 PM - 10 PM
3/21 - open 1 PM - 11 PM
3/22 - open 11 AM - 11 PM
3/23 - open 11 AM - 8 PM
Tickets are $8 for adults, $2 children ages 6-12 and children under 5 are free. There are parking rates if you use their lot...but if you are early and 'creative' you can find some parking at local stores at your own risk.
Location: 1950 Eisenhower Blvd. (US1 to 17th Street EAST...by the cruise terminals)
On a side note..I was planning on going this year, but made my car purchase in October. I bought a 2008 Mazda 3 Grand Touring. I think this is my favorite car of all time. It's fun to drive, looks great and has all the features of a higher-end luxury car. I really mean it too...this is a GREAT car. I think this is the first time I actually took some pictures of any of my new cars too. Oh, and if you are looking at a Mazda, you might not want to visit the Pompano Beach Mazda. I won't get into it..but the salesman was horrible.
