Mother's Day is May 11th this year which is less than a month away now.  This year my parents are planning their visit so that they arrive right on mother’s day, which also happens to be my Birthday.  This is the first year in a very long time that we will be together on this day, so we are all excited.  We always go to a nice brunch or sometimes my Dad will cook a special dinner like Prime Rib or something equally as good. 

This year, they will be driving from Michigan, so they probably will prefer something low key and we will probably just relax at home.  It will be a good time to catch up on things and just spend the time together...since it's been almost a year since we've seen each other. 

Of course I'll have a big bouquet of flowers waiting for my Mom too.  I usually order from 1800flowers.com when she's up in Michigan and will probably use them this year as well since she always raves about how nice they are.  Plus, there won't be the long lines.  They also have a contest going on too called the "Celebrate Mom for who she is contest".  They have over $30,000 in prizes to hand out, so why wouldn't you give it a shot and give Mom (or Mr. Mom!) a shot at some great prizes?
