Don't you remember the days where Costumes were only for Halloween?  When I was young, there weren't many options out there.  You usually had to settle for the plastic mask with the eyes that never seemed to line up and that 'plastic' body suit type bottom portion.  I think they still make those, but now there are actually stores that specialize in costumes 365 days a year. 

There have been reports that child parties with a 'costume theme' are on the rise.  They have always been popular and they usually increase when the economy hits a rough patch.  Parents usually look for other options for the 'home' party and most kids love to dress up.  There is a website that offers a great selection Kids Costumes.  InCostume.com is also a great place to find costumes for a school play.   

There are also some great adult costumes as well.  You need gear for that Renaissance Festival?  They've got it.  Historical costumes for the 4th of July events?  They've got them too.  I was amazed at how many costumes they have on their website.
