Simpson's Ride at Universal Studios, Orlando grand opening set.

After some major construction to turn the old 'Back to the Future' ride into the new 'The Simpson's Ride' (and about $30 million later), Universal Studios, Orlando announced that the grand opening is set for the weekend of May 15-16.  The highly anticipated attraction uses the 80 feet movie screens from the Back to the Future ride and also the 'basics' of the motion-simulation vehicles as well.  The ride takes visitors through a 'virtual' world of Krustyland...the stomping ground for the TV show's Krusty the Clown.

There might be a 'soft' opening a week or so early, but that has not been confirmed as of yet.  This is the beginning of Universal's plan to add quite a few new attractions over the next few years.  Let us know if you make it to the park and get to ride the Simpson's Ride...leave a comment.
