Identity theft stinks.

It seems that the phrase 'identity theft' is used in so many situations lately.  I used to always think it meant when someone actually 'assumed' your identity in a way that steals money directly from you.  Over time, it basically is tied to any act to impersonate you as an individual to gain financially.  It could be someone that cannot get their own credit card and opens one under your social security number but uses it and actually pays on it.  It could also refer to those out there that collect valid credit card numbers and sell them for profit.

While you can take every precaution to prevent identity theft, it always helps to have someone that can help.  The company life lock does just that.  They not only monitor your credit for possible fraud, they guarantee to help in the event someone was able to sneak by their network.  Sure, you can do the same thing yourself...but who has time?  Better yet...do you really know how to fix your credit if someone managed to steal your identity?  That's why life lock is worth a look.  You can't beat the $1,000,000 guarantee they offer too.  I know that I would want them to back their service and with a guarantee like that, you know that they will do everything in their power to squash any attempts they can on the front lines.
