Now that the house 'flipping' has slowed across the US and Florida, it's probably time to take a look at your house and take some steps to secure it.  Maybe a  picture of a termite will motivate you to think about these little pests than can really eat you out of your home.  If you see one, there is a colony. 

Those of you that have lived in the south for many years probably know some of the basics when it comes to termites, but there is a website that can brush you up just in case.  Killthetermites.com is a comprehensive site that lists the types of termites (along with other pests) and ways they can be exterminated.  There are some good FAQ that can get you more familiar with everything termite too...in case they are 'foreign' to you.

With the housing market still generally weak, the last thing you want is a termite colony to run potential buyers off.  With our food costs rising...you don't want to feed these pests for free either.
