Ft. Lauderdale Air Show LLC is currently working to get approval from city commissioners to bring back the Air & Sea Show to Ft. Lauderdale.  2008's show was canceled due to a lack of sponsorship, which disappointed spectators and businesses in the area. 

They are hoping to get the show approved this Tuesday and are shooting for a May 2-3, 2009 date.  The group is not only working to bring the show back, but they are also offering to "contribute to veteran's charities, enhance military recruiting, foster economic development for local businesses, and implement sustainable resources by embracing the green initiative while producing a public event,'' as stated in the proposal submitted to the city.

This was a huge show for the Ft. Lauderdale area and I know a lot of people are keeping their fingers crossed.  Some complain about the noise and traffic, but it would bring in some tax revenue and give us some cool entertainment.
