I'm sure everyone out there is feeling a bit uneasy about the current state of the economy. Here in Florida tourism is a huge part of our economy. This next year might be tough for everyone to decide on a vacation spot. Hotels in Florida are starting to offer some great deals. Not only can you find some discounts with some of the 'online' partners I've listed on the side of this website, but gas seems to be dropping every day. In central Broward, the gas is currently $2.35 per gallon...which means you might be able to afford to drive the family on vacation this year.

I've also seen that Disney is planning to offer some great hotel deals to guests other than 'Florida Residents' (yeah, we get special deals at Disney if we live in the state). They are going to be offering a 'stay 7 days, pay for only 4' deal the first 6 months of 2009. I'm not sure which of the Disney resorts will be offering this great deal, but you can save a ton of money. Remember that you don't have to hit a theme park every day of your stay. If you stay on the property, just being in a Disney Hotel gives you the 'magical' feeling.

So, keep checking back here for those online hotel deals...and watch the Disney website too...and remember, you can always afford to drive to Florida. Many of our parents did 'back in the day'.
