FPL lowering rates is a drop in the bucket.
Woo Hoo!! FPL (Florida Power and Light) bills will be going down in 2009! Oh...wait. The 'average' savings per month is reported to be about 9%. That might work out to be just under $5 a month for the average resident. I guess every little bit helps huh? But don't get used to the 9% drop. They are saying that in 2010, rates will be going back up. I haven't heard exactly how much rates will rise...but I'm sure it will be close to or above the 9% drop. Not to mention more rate hikes if gas goes back up again. At least the recent cold fronts is giving most of us a break using our A/C and that translates into cash savings.
