It looks like we'll have to wait a little longer to see the W Hotel on Ft. Lauderdale Beach.  Their website says the new opening date is April 2, 2009.  That's about a month later than the previous stated March 1st opening.  I had a feeling they were not going to hit the March date.  I went by the property around Christmas and it looked like they had a lot to finish on the outside (landscaping, sidewalks, etc.).  I guess we'll see if they can hit the new target date.  Very interesting time to be opening a hotel...but with W's reputation and hipness....they will probably do well.  I can't wait to get inside of the place and take a look around (and take some pics).  If anyone can get me in early...please let me know.
