Ft. Lauderdale Beach Hilton Resort to open new restaurnat - Aquaknox.

While walking along Ft. Lauderdale Beach today, we made it inside of the Hilton Beach Resort.  I managed to snap a picture of the lobby.  It's not that large, but gives off a nice vibe.

They seem to be adding restaurants piece by piece.  Last fall, they opened a cafĂ© that offers great breakfast options and some fresh lunch selections.  Today we happened to notice a new sign saying a new seafood restaurant is arriving soon...The Aqua Knox.  There are three other locations...one in Las Vegas (in the Venetian, one in Tampa and one in Atlanta.  I managed to peek through the crack in the door...and I'm not sure how 'soon' is soon.  The floor still appeared to be unfinished.

I remember back in October, there was a 'public notice' for some kind of modification hanging on the outside door of where Aqua Knox will be.  Hopefully they are just being slow due to the economy.  A restaurant in this location would be perfect.  Excellent views of the beach and will liven up that end of the beach.

The AquaKnox sign has been up for over a year. I spoke to E-Brands recently about the restaurant and they are not sure when the project will ever open.

Thanks for the info!  I thought I remembered seeing that sign a while back, but wasn't sure....you can look into the space and see they havn't even finished a floor yet.  It's all still dirt.  This end of the hotel needs something to liven it up..but I guess the timing is a bit off.  I suspect we won't see anything here for another year.  That's my guess.
