W Hotel Ft. Lauderdale Beach construction pictures - March 2009.
(The W Hotel Ft. Lauderdale Beach sign is installed.)
The W Hotel on Ft. Lauderdale Beach is about a month away from it's official opening. It finally looks like it's getting ready to open. The construction fence has been removed...pavers have been installed along with some landscaping. I even caught some workers finishing the sidewalk pavers today.

You can actually get up close and personal with much of the property. There is still some minor construction, so you can get to look in any of the windows. They still have some work to finish on the outside terrace...looks like some facade additions and minor stuff.

Sounds like they will be offering some great amenities. I'm wondering what the average price is going to be for the rooms. I'm sure that some deals will be offered in the summer. They would even be smart to offer 'locals only' rates at certain times. It would be the perfect place for for a short weekend get-away.

You can walk along the whole parameter of the property now...and I snapped these pictures-
