Ft. Lauderdale has a new low-cost cruise line.  Celebration Cruise Line now sets sail from Port Everglades (Ft. Lauderdale) to the Bahamas.  You can choose either a two or three day cruise for some low prices.  The recently renovated ship will allow up to 1,500 passengers to enjoy 500 cabins, four restaurants, a two-story 630-seat nightclub, a casino, a new spa, multiple lounges and a pirate themed pool with 180-foot slide for the kids.



The standard price for a three day cruise on Celebration is $199, much lower than other bigger cruise companies.  This is great timing, since it can cost you much less for a short weekend get-away.  With $10 million in renovations, I would think the ship looks quite nice.  You might want to check it out now, since it's sparkling new and prices seem pretty low.  You can even find some lower rates if you do your homework.  Contact your travel agent...or look for the site directly on-line. 

Ft. Lauderdale seems to still be growing when it comes to cruises.  There are some other ships that are supposed to dock here in the next year.  Lets hope those stay on track.
