The W Hotel Ft. Lauderdale Beach (Florida's first W Hotel) opened two days ago, April 30, 2009.  I made it to the property this morning and took some pictures and a few short videos.  I'll space this out into a few entries, so be sure to check back for more.  I wanted to get this video of the pool posted.  I must say, the W is one cool hotel.  This is what we needed in Ft. Lauderdale.  The pool is one-of-a-kind too.  You walk upstairs to it from the lobby...and walk under a plexiglass dome you can actually see underwater and people swimming!.  Well see for yourself:





The whole property is really nice and it's really a place you can relax and chill.  There are lots of colors, pieces of art, cool lighting effects and places to just relax.  This is what I expected all of the new hotels to look like.  The W's atmosphere creates a place you want to hang out.  The views from the pool deck and lobby are awesome as well.  More pics and a video of that on another post.
