2009 Hurricane Season is around the corner, and the forecast is in.

How time flies by. June 1st marks the start to the 2009 Hurricane Season. NOAA has it's prediction out and says it will be a 'normal' season with 9 to 14 named storms. Of those...4 to 7 will become hurricanes, with one to three being major (winds over 110 mph). The prediction is lower than the past several years...where the activity was much higher than 'normal'.

The main thing to remember is that it only takes one hurricane to rip apart a community. There is no way for NOAA to know where these hurricanes will strike...at least until they form. Make preparations now and be prepared. Look for sales on your supplies and go through your stock. Batteries expire and so does food.
