Happy Father's Day to all the 'Dads' (and to my Dad!). If you plan to celebrate with a great meal...consider these options and discounts around Broward County-
Chima Brazilian Steakhouse (2400 E. Las Olas Blvd., Fort Lauderdale) This popular 'Brazilian Steakhouse' will be open from 12-4 p.m. for lunch on Father's Day. For those of you that are not familiar with this type of all-you-can-eat 'rodizio', let me tell you it's a meat-lover's dream. They bring around skewers of hot off the grill meats and will slice them onto your plate. They have a salad section as well. The cost is $39.95 per person...which is about $10 less than the regular dinner price.
Beef "O" Brady's (10079 W. Oakland Park Blvd., Sunrise) All Dads have a choice of a free entrée (items like chicken wings, burgers, patty melts and a barbecue pulled pork sandwiches). He also gets a free draft beer (from a list of 11 import and domestic brands).
Christine's Restaurant (2671 E. Oakland Park Blvd., Fort Lauderdale) Dad gets a free cocktail on Friday or Saturday night. The place isn't open on Sunday...so it's a great place to get your weekend started. They are also offering a $42 bone-in filet mignon special.
Council Oak (Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, 1 Seminole Way, Hollywood) This place offers 'The Ultimate Sunday Champagne Brunch' from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Dad will kick off the brunch with complimentary champagne mimosas. Next is a choice of seafood chowder or Caesar salad and a choice of either a 20-ounce Porterhouse or twin warm water lobster tails. For dessert, there's chocolate truffle amaretto torte with raspberry coulis and vanilla bean whipped cream.
