Mickey Mouse has to pay the mortgage too.

Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando is trying it's best to lure frugal vacationers in this strained economy by cutting hotel rates and giving some great food discounts.  However....beginning this Sunday (August  2, 2009) Disney will be raising ticket prices.  Booo!  I guess even Mickey Mouse has to pay the mortgage huh?  Maybe Mickey signed one of those ARM Sub-Prime loans and has no choice but to raise prices.

One day, one park tickets will be going up to $79 for adults (that's up $4).  The same ticket for a child from three to nine years old will be raised to $68 (that's up $5).  Multi-park, multi-day tickets are also on the rise Sunday by 2.6% to 4.7%.  The more days on your multi-ticket, the less the increase will be.  (I don't have all of the new prices...visit their website for more details).

It's understandable that they need to increase prices.  The one thing they have going for them is that Disney keeps its parks in top shape and recently seems to always be adding new attractions.  You still get a lot for you money...especially if you can find a great package deal including meals and hotel.
