Mickey Mouse hires Spiderman, Iron Man and the Hulk.

A new deal brings the Marvel universe into the Disney Family. The deal is said to be worth around $4 Billion and would give Disney the rights to all characters under Marvel Comics. That's a pretty big deal. Disney is becoming quite the powerhouse in the entertainment world. The strange piece of the puzzle is how the Orlando theme parks are going to shake it out.

Universal Orlando has one of their 'Islands of Adventure' dedicated to Marvel characters with some rides. From what I've read...the contract will stay in place and Universal's Spiderman and Hulk rides are safe. They are safe for now...but once Disney really grabs hold of the Marvel brand and becomes more and more associated with these characters...that deal might sour somehow. I'm sure Universal could rebrand the rides and take a whole new fresh outlook on the park. But...that is probably years away.
