Hurricane Season 2009 isn't quite over, so far...looks good for Florida.

While we are currently in the 'peak' of Hurricane Season...the National Hurricane Center is saying that things might look good for the United States (and us in Florida).  Those nasty 'Cape Verde' storms...the ones that form near the Cape Verde Islands and can turn into large, strong storms as they cross the Atlantic,...seem to be less of a threat this year.  Good 'ole El Nino.  The wind shear has been ripping apart most of the storms this year...and they predict that this will be the case for the next two months.

While this is good news for us in Florida...you have to remember that weather can be unpredictable.  Don't let your guard down, because we can still be hit.  Remember Hurricane Wilma??  That one slammed into South Florida near the end of October and that was one nasty storm.

So keep your fingers crossed, knock on wood, trow salt over your shoulder...and do whatever you think will keep the good luck going.
