Seminole Hard Rock - Winterfest Boat Parade 2010 announces Grand Marshals



The 2010 Seminole Hard Rock - Winterfest Boat Parade is just over a month away (can you believe it???!) and they just announced the grand marshals for the event.  Ready?....The grand marshals will be reality TV person Kim Kardashian and basketball star Alonzo Mournin.  There will be co-grand marshals this year.  I can maybe understand Alonzo...but Kim Kardashian? 

The theme this year is "That's Entertainment" which encourages boat owners to create individual 'floating theaters'.  This could make for an interesting year.

You better get your viewing spot all in order as I'm sure this year is going to be very busy.  It's a yearly tradition that the whole family can enjoy...and it won't cost you a fortune.  Start planning for those Holiday events now.

Seminole Hard Rock Winterfest Boat Parade

Starting on the New River in Fort Lauderdale and traveling to the Intracoastal north to Lake Santa Barbara in Pompano Beach

The 38th Annual Boat Parade will start on the New River as it travels East to the Intracoastal Waterway as it continues North to Lake Santa Barbara in Pompano Beach. This year’s theme, “That’s Entertainment” embraces the beauty of our waterways with the music and excitement of every era. From the vast numbers of private boats to the giant showboats and corporate megayachts, the 100 parade entrants, will be adorned with hundreds of thousands of lights, music, entertainment, decorations, celebrities, musical groups, beauty queens and many other exciting entries expected to be viewed by over one million spectators.

PARADE HIGHLIGHTS:

Look for the Smart for Life™/underWAY™ Grand Marshal Showboat, Patron “Red Carpet” Showboat, WSVN “Animation Domination” Showboat, Seminole Tribe “Comicbook Heroes” Extravaganza, Paul and Young Ron aboard Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza Showboat, the Advanced Green Technologies Santa Showboat, The Clydey Foundation “Cirque” Floating Finale, Phantom of the Opera and so much more along the 12 mile parade route- this year is not to be missed!

For the best seats on land to view the ENTIRE Parade, reserve your tickets today! Stop by theCulinary Courtyard presented by Michelob Ultra featuring Seafood World and Coca-Cola products. Mobile Mike Stage and Big105.9 FM Morning Show Personalities will be on hand with live parade commentary. The Seminole Tribe of Florida will host an area withIndian arts, crafts, birds of prey and authentic Indian dancing. Experience the Florida Panthers’ Slap Shot Game, Florida Marlins Prize Wheel, Mermaids, Baseball Throw, climb the Rock Wall, Bounce House, Sun-Sentinel’s Kids’ Town and much more! You may walk in to Birch State Park for a general admission fee of just $3 pp. are invited to experience all the pre-parade activities but the Grandstands are gated so you will not be permitted inside without a ticket. Walk-ins will need to bring a chair or blanket and save your spot on the southern end of the park near the seawall for optimum viewing. There will be no unauthorized vehicles permitted inside the park the day of the parade. Park and Ride service is BACK with the BUSES and convenient parking at Memorial Park. For each grandstand Ticket purchased, you will also receive a voucher for a Florida Panther’s game in January.
