It looks like Ft. Lauderdale will be getting it's own J. Mark's Restaurant in 2010. Scheduled to open in the summer of 2010, J. Mark's will open in the old Bennigan's location on US1, just north of Sunrise. As you may recall, all Bennigan's locations closed last year and this building has been waiting for something to move in. Bennigan's built this location from the ground up...so any restaurant would just need to worry about the cosmetics to get it up to date. Well, that and a good cleaning. The last time I went to this Bennigan's it was really dirty. Wasn't really shocked they closed.

This will be J. Mark's second location. The first is located in Pompano (on US1, next to Sears) and has been quite the hot spot since opening a few years ago. They offer steaks to salads to burgers. They are also very well known for their appetizer selection. It's a nicely decorated restaurant, that prides itself on quality food at good prices. While it's not the lowest priced meal in town, it will be a great edition to the area. With Houston's closing a while back....there isn't much of a selection of nice steak restaurants that don't cost an arm and a leg. J. Mark's will give J. Alexanders some stiff competition in 2010.
