Subway starts up breakfast nationwide in April.

Subway's $5-Footlong campaign is a huge hit. Not only with those wanting a healthier fast-food meal option...but with those wanting to save some bucks. Subway is now taking the next step....Breakfast. Starting early next month, you will be able to swing by your local Subway restaurant for Breakfast. While some cities have been 'testing' the early morning options, it will be rolled out nationwide.

I don't have menu specifics, but know that they are focusing on different types of 'omelet' sandwiches. No doubt they will be serving them up on freshly baked bread and have extra 'fixings'.

If done right, Subway can take a big bite out of other fast food restaurants for breakfast. Let's hope they keep their 'fresh' reputation and have good quality eggs. I really don't like those microwave egg 'rounds' that some places serve. Lets hope the prices for Breakfast will be very competitve too. Lots of tourists love to find a quick beach meal...and this might just fit the bill.
