Not only is Beachplace going to be the spot for Ft. Lauderdale's first Sonic restaurant this Summer...but there are two other restaurants being planned for Beachplace.

In the old Sloppy Joe's location...da Big Kahuna will be opening soon.  From what I can find online...there will be the restaurant/bar's second location...the first being in Hawaii.  Tiki/Beach is the theme and you can see some of the idols already showing their 'heads' at the Beachplace spot.  I read that there 'goldfish bowl' drink is a must and they usually have some Mai-Tai specials.  Of course they will be having a full food menu as well.  With the 'open air' patio facing the beach...this could become quite the hot spot.

There is also an Irish Pub called "SallyO" that is supposed to be opening soon in Beachplace on the main floor.  I couldn't really get any other pics..since the window's were blacked out.

And of course...there is the Sonic location due this summer at Beachplace.  I was able to snap a picture of the new Sonic location...it looks like they are ready to start construction very soon.  I'm sure it won't take that long to get everything in.  I know many fans of Sonic will be first in line at this Ft. Lauderdale location when it opens.  Sure...there's the beer and wine...but in the summer...the Slushies will be gold!
