Leaping lizards! Strange lizard spotted at Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens
First time visit to Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens (in Delray Beach, FL) and stumbled upon another strange lizard. I've never seen one of these in South Florida...and I believe it's called a Chinese Water Dragon. While it's probably an invasive species...it looks a lot cooler than the iguanas that have been showing up everywhere. I think these are the lizards that run on top of the water...too bad we didn't get to see that. He almost looks like that creature in the short-lived NBC series 'Surface'.

The Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens was actually kind of cool. It's quite a large park with many places to explore. Here's a panoramic pic of the large lake...I'll post more info soon.

Despite the greenish color, that is a brown basilisk, an invader from Mexico: http://www.myfwc.com/WILDLIFEHABITATS/Nonnative_BrownBasilisk.htm
