Broward County gets some funds from BP

Broward County recently received some money to help advertise that 'Broward County beaches are clean and open for business'.  The beaches have not been impacted by the oil mess in the Gulf and officials are now going to make a marketing push to let everyone know.  The total BP funds available totals around $850,000 ($800,000 for TV and $50,000 for public relations) and the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention and Visitors Bureau plans on starting the campaign immediately.

Summer has become another one of our 'peak' seasons here at the beaches and they are hoping that people realize that most of Florida's beaches are as clean as ever.  We've actually been having many 'beach' days...very sunny and high's in the 90's.
