Publix Grocery Store testing out 'curbside' service.

Publix is now trying to start up a 'curb-side' pickup service. You would order your groceries on-line or by phone and your groceries would be all ready for you by the time you got to the store and parked. The fee for the service is $7.99. The service was tested in Attana and will soon start up in Tampa. This should work out a bit better than their 'home delivery' service that they tried years ago. The only thing I'm wondering about is produce. What if you get a tomato that is bruised…or an onion with a mushy spot? I'm sure they will have a guarantee of some sort. Maybe they will have better luck on picking out ripe fruit than I do.

Publix said they will monitor the service to see if it will be rolled out to any other markets later this year.
