The Charlie's Crab restaurant on Ft. Lauderdale Beach (just off of Oakland Park Blvd…next to Shooter's) has recently changed names. It is now Chart House. Chart House is another seafood chain that has national recognition…while Charlie's Crab was more of a regional chain. Reviews say that the inside of the restaurant has the same layout…but a different color scheme. I've been to Charlie's Crab and LOVED IT. While it wasn't cheep…the quality was great…probably the best shrimp I've ever had. I've heard good things about Chart House and hopefully the change will be just as good as Charlie's. The Chart House is also more of an 'upscale' restaurant….so I wonder what the true reason for the change is. You'd think they would go for a change with lower prices in this economy. Then again…many tourists will know the Chart House name.
