Among all of the depressing news about closing restaurants...I'm happy to report a new restaurant opening in Ft. Lauderdale.  In the old Bennegan's location on US1 (between Oakland Park Blvd and Sunrise) J. Mark's opened it's second restaurant recently.  While they are still working on the patio...they are open for business.  So far, I've been to the place twice...both times the food has been great.  The prices are a little more reasonable than J. Alexanders...and the menu is a little similar.  The renovation of the building is nothing short of amazing.  It almost looks like they built the place from the ground up.

We'll do a review soon.  The patio will have outside seating and they plan on having some live entertainment on the weekends.
