It looks like Hollywood is planning on shooting a new Adam Sandler movie here in our back yard. Jack and Jill begins filming in Ft. Lauderdale in November and will star Adam Sandler, Al Pacino and Katie Holmes. This romantic comedy will have Sandler playing two characters - Jack and his twin sister Jill.

If you want to be an extra for the movie, Sande Alessi Casting will hold an open casting call in a few weeks. They are searching for hundreds of 'upscale' looking males and females of all ages and ethnicities. They are looking at singles, couples and real families with children of all ages. Sounds like lots of people will have a shot. If chosen to be an extra, pay will be $100 for 10 hours of work, with overtime paid at time and a half. Shooting will begin the second week of November.

So get a 3x5 color snapshot ready (doesn't need to be a professional head-shot) and dress in your best upscale casual cruise wear and mark your calendar for Saturday Oct 23 & Sunday Oct 24 to meet with casing.
