New Las Olas lounge Vibe to open this weekend.

It's great to see that things seem to be picking up for the Las Olas area. This weekend a new nightlife hotspot is set to open called Vibe. Tim Petrillo is behind the concept of this mostly "live-music lounge" and it's located at 333 East Las Olas. The location will have no cover, which is great to hear. The inside of the lounge will hold 91 guests, with an outside patio holding 200. The décor of the place looks quite cool. It has a very Vegas/New York/SoBe feel to it and will have a 'signature' lighting display inside and out that will draw some attention to the location (hmm…wonder what that will look like). There is also a 'fire-pit' on the patio that is said to be the 'centerpiece' of Vibe's concept and should be a must see. There will be specialty drinks on the menu that you will not be able to get anywhere else…such as the Smokey Mango (Cazadores Reposada tequila, mango, lime juice and an ancho chili-salted rim).

The music looks to be mostly 'live' with a wide range of genres. Of course a DJ will be on hand on occasion and to help keep the mood going.

Located near Petrillo's other trendy restaurant YOLO, this should be a great addition to the nightlife in downtown Ft. Lauderdale. It sounds a bit more 'upscale' than the places near Riverwalk which should draw a different type of customer. Las Olas is starting to regain some of it's popularity and life again.
